Yoga in Action (May 28, 2022)

I hope everyone has found some joy this week. It certainly has not been an easy one. I, like many teachers, have struggled to process the most recent school shooting, and I know parents have had to have conversations with their kids that our parents never had to have with us. Active shooter drills were certainly nothing I ever had to participate in as a child.

Yoga calls us to action. Yoga instructs us to feel and to process internally, but also to take action to change the situation. Action means giving something of yourself: your time, your money, your energy. It is not just sending "good vibes" out. What each of us can do to affect change is different, but take some time to consider what action you can take. Voting, donating, protesting, educating... find what works for you. This is yoga in action.
