We are now well and good into summer, and boy have we been feeling it here in Baltimore! I am making an effort to spend a little time outside today, since it isn't raining or unbearably hot! There are a number of studies that show that humans need to physically connect with nature on a regular basis for well-being (for a quick overview of studies from the APA click here). However, for most of us being outdoors is not a natural fit into our days, so it takes a concerted effort to make it happen. My challenge for everyone this week is to try to schedule some outdoor time for yourself and your families. Might I suggest some Forest Bathing?
